History

Gene Cohen originally had a corporation named American Management Group which held assets including real estate, business holdings, other assets, brands, trademarks and servicemarks in New England and New York. The name (and other brands owned by the corporation) which originated in 1962 was widely advertised and used in the original markets and nationwide/internationally through various trade organization's journals. In the late 90's the assets of the corporation (including the brand American Management Group) were sold to a third party. We reclaimed the rights to the name and its goodwill in the 2000's from the original and subsequent purchaser of the assets. Legal releases were properly sought and received from the subsequent owners. During the brief ownership by the third parties there was no assignment of the ownership or any of its goodwill to any other parties.

Blacktree Holdings LLC is in no manner associated with American Management Group LLC located in Florida nor any other American Management Group LLCs or Corporations located in the USA or abroad. Our ownership and use of the American Management Group® brand predates the founding of these non-affiliated organization. We can trace our lineage to 1962.
